GOLDEN, a short film, is the story of a woman who rediscovers, after years of domestic life, that her intellectual, emotional, and sexual vibrancy are as dynamic as ever. Told through dance, this film is both a love letter to women's ageless and rebellious access to personal power and a timely commentary about societal definitions of women's sexual status. Two years in the making, this 8.5 minute film is complete! So many amazingly gifted artists, including Margaret Tappan, Ben Estabrook, Heath Orchard, Ava Childs, Ben Juodvalkis, Simon Fildes, Lindsay Gauthier, Ayumi Ashley, Kevin Crawford, and Bianca Cabrera, have thrown their weight behind the film and the result- like all of my previous collaborations -is even more exciting than what I could have imagined. GOLDEN now hits the festival circuit. Stay tuned for more information! Here are some moments from the April 2019 shoot.
