TERRAIN
(ODC Theater, San Francisco 2016) traced the connections between the patterns and textures of the female form and the natural terrain surrounding all of us. Using dance, photography, and fashion to convey the contradictions embedded
in our culture, TERRAIN grappled with society's disparaging view of aging, particularly in women By extension, the project also shed light on our collective disregard for the beauty and sacredness of all living things on our fragile world. This collaborative project also featured the work of choreographers Bianca Cabrera, Brittany Ceres, and Claudia Anata Hubiak, composer Ben Juodvalkis, lighting designer Walter Holden, photographer Alessandra Mello, and the costume designs of Kate Mitchell, assisted by Ava Childs. The TERRAIN garments continue to be shown around the Bay Area.
